Photo: Public prayers for America

10/24/2014 by Hawaii Catholic Herald

Local followers of the group “America Needs Fatima” hosted dozens of “rosary rallies” around the state Oct. 11, including a gathering at the state capitol in Honolulu. America Needs Fatima is a national organization that promotes the message of conversion shared by the Blessed Virgin Mary to three children in Fatima, Portugal, in 1917. Each year, the campaign encourages Catholics to organize “public square rosary” prayer groups on the Saturday closest to the Oct. 13 feast of Our Lady of Fatima. (HCH photo | Darlene Dela Cruz)
