Catholic Charities hires fund development officers

08/01/2014 by Hawaii Catholic Herald

Catholic Charities Hawaii has hired two fund development officers for its Development Office. Lisa Nakano and Suzanne Peterson will be responsible for gift stewardship, donor relations and development activities.

Before joining Catholic Charities, Nakano served for five years as the marketing and development coordinator at Hospice Hawaii, where she managed fund development initiatives, donor databases, events and donor relations.

Peterson brings more than 20 years of experience in communications, grant writing and project and event management. She was the development administrative manager at Saint Louis School and also held development and management positions with Verizon Hawaii and Hawaiian Islands Ministries.

“We are pleased to have two experienced fund development professionals join our team, helping to maintain and establish meaningful relationships with our donors and supporters,” said Catholic Charities Hawaii’s vice president of development Janice Nillias Knapp.

Catholic Charities helps people in need through more than 30 programs statewide.
