About 100 people participated in the inaugural St. Marianne Cope Charity Walk, organized by the St. Francis Healthcare System of Hawaii, Jan. 18. Participants began the two-mile trek with morning warm-up exercises, right, before walking or jogging from Kakaako gateway park to Kewalo Basin and back. A few stopped at the statue of St. Marianne in Kewalo to sing hymns and offer prayers to the Franciscan nun. Proceeds from the charity walk will go to St. Francis Healthcare programs and services.
