Hundreds of “luminaries” lined the Hawaii state capitol grounds Jan. 22, during an evening prayer service commemorating the anniversary of the 1973 Roe vs. Wade Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion. Each luminary — a paper bag lit up with a flameless tea light — was decorated with pro-life drawings and messages. Aloha Life Advocates and the Pearson Foundation of Hawaii sponsored the event.
