Photo: Sharp shooter wins national honor

1SHAshooterSacred Hearts Academy senior Sara Tashima won second place in the standing shooting competition last month, and placed fifth overall, at the National Rifle Association’s Junior Air Gun Championship and the National Air Rifle Junior Olympics in Anniston, Ala. She was also awarded the “Excellence in Competition” badge by accruing 30 match points in her career as an air rifle competitor. She is only the second in Hawaii to earn that honor.
