07/05/2013 by Hawaii Catholic Herald

With some of her predecessors present, Sister Florence Remata, right, was installed on June 9 in Honolulu as the new regional minister for the Sisters of St. Francis of the Neumann Communities’ Hawaii/Southwest region. During the ceremony and prayer service, Sister Louise Alff, general councilor for the Hawaii/SW region, presented Sister Florence with a red and green apron which she cheerfully put on as a symbol of her service and work. The ceremony also expressed an appreciation to past ministers Sister Francis Regis Hadano and Sister Marion Kikukawa. The Southwest region is comprised of California, Texas and New Mexico.
