Poem by Easter Almuena: Glorious summer

06/21/2013 by Hawaii Catholic Herald

Summer trails and glorious strides

The blazing sun and emerald walls

Lights cascading beneath your gaze

My thoughts of you spiraling, I am

Enamored, I feel faint, I feel ever so

Grand! In mysteries you design for

Me, I cannot look away, I must see!

I must know! In the many disguises

And wonders this summer you lit

For me, in the many ways of dying

You foresee that I did live and walk

Through, You, my Beloved, have to

Be so gracious in tripling my joy —

Of loving you even more, of desiring

You more — this summer of many

Shades and colors, yours I am, ever!
