The Hawaii Catholic Community Foundation, which manages the money collected through the Diocese of Honolulu’s With Grateful Hearts capital campaign, reports that, as of March 31, it has received more than $29 million of the original amount pledged which exceeded $50 million.
All parishes were required to participate in this initiative. The first column of figures below is the donation goal set for each parish. The second column is the amount of money collected as of March 31 this year. The third column notes the percentage of the goal collected. The fourth column is the amount of money collected that has been returned to the parish.
Parishes receive 25 percent of the funds collected up to its goal. Of the money a parish collects over its goal, it receives half. A parish earns back 80 percent of the money exceeding 150 percent of its goal.
Five parishes conducted “combined campaigns,” to raise additional funds for special parish needs.
