Episcopal visit to Episcopal church

Bishop Larry Silva delivers the first reading at the third annual observance of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, held this year at the Episcopal Cathedral of St. Andrew in Honolulu on Jan. 20. Behind him are Rev. Murray D. Finck, the bishop of the Pacifica Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, and St. Andrew choir members. The ecumenical vespers was composed of an hour of songs, prayers, Scripture readings and a sermon by Episcopal Bishop Robert L. Fitzpatrick. About 20 Christian ministers attended plus a small crowd of worshippers. Also representing the Catholic Church were Father William Kunisch, the Diocese of Honolulu’s Ecumenical and Interfaith Officer, and St. John the Baptist pastor Father Jack Ryan.
